Side Gags & Graphics
Misc. Content from Author Comments
These were all used in their various author comments across the years, but here they all are, grouped together for posterity's sake. (And also so the last one isn't permanently attached to a Twitter post.)
Kirby Adventure Sillies
These were gags I made for my DeviantArt page way back in 2011. They're non-canon weirdnesses that lasted very short amount of time, but they're Kirby Adventure content, so I figured I ought to put them up here too.
Ask the KAS on Tumblr
A very short-lived Tumblr ask blog I made around 2012-2013-ish, after seeing a big craze of people on Tumblr roleplaying as game characters and OCs and taking questions. I wanted to get in on the action, attempted it with my Kirby OCs, got 4 asks, and then quit it entirely. But now it's here and preserved forever.
Extra Crossover Pages
All Pages Related to Events from Darkness Rising / Tomorrow's Wind
If you haven't read Darkness Rising, none of this will make much sense to you. I recommend reading that chapter first.
Kirby: The Dee Army - Page 134: Otherworldly Invasion
This page is what instigated the initial dimensional hopping found in Darkness Rising - Part 3. This was a comic I co-authored with my friend Nashew/Luigi_96, where I mostly took on an advisory role to Nashew as he made all of the pages.
The context for the page isn't immensely important, it's amidst an important meeting and conversation between most of the protagonists of his comic. Raize and Hali stumbling in was a random gag that we both thought was amusing, and since I was working directly with Nash, it was an easy addition to make.
Kirby's Dreamland Adventures - Page 264: Q&A 3
After I referenced a few comics in Darkness Rising - Part 22, some of the creators of those comics decided they'd show off said dimensional hopping in their own pages. CapedLuigisYoshi was the first of two authors to do so, in this large and silly Questions-and-Answers page.
From a meta perspective, CapedLuigisYoshi's comic was retelling the story of Kirby games from the beginning, and it took partial inspiration from a style of Let's Play comic, so the characters sometimes acted like their adventures were a bit game-y. To that extent, between games, sometimes Q&A's like this would occur, where readers would ask questions to the cast, and it'd be reinterpreted in a meta sense as an interview, as seen here.
It was during this interview that we got one single solitary panel of Raize and Hali, overhearing that Kirby and Marx were still friends (Marx being a well-known Kirby series villain who betrays Kirby), and thus concluding this was not the right dimension they were seeking. Thus, this was the "slower timeline where Kirby was still friends with Marx" that Raize mentions in the actual Kirby Adventure page.
Yes, I elected to preserve this single gigantic page, otherwise-entirely-unrelated to me, because of one single panel.
Kirby's Dream Experience - Pages 302-304: Resolving (Parts 12-14)
Don't confuse this comic for BattleStarX's Kirby's Dream Adventure, this was technically a separate comic. I poked fun at how similar Warpstar's comic of Kirby's Dream Experience was to BSX's comic, where in Darkness Rising - Part 22, he says "his experience felt more adventurous." Aka, instead of Dream Experience, he was in Dream Adventure.
Warpstar's comic was not one that I read, because it felt like it was just trying to recreate Kirby's Dream Adventure, and doing so poorly. Warpstar wasn't very experienced as a creator, and it really showed in what they tried to make. Perhaps it was a tad mean to poke fun at it so often like I did, but ah well, it's in the past now anyways.
Regardless, after I mentioned the comic in Kirby Adventure, Warpstar came to me asking if he could show the dimensional travel in his comic, and I gave it my approval, with the caveat that I would write my characters' dialogue. I frankly didn't trust Warpstar with that.
So, in all honesty, I know the context of these pages about as well as you guys do. I don't know who the characters are, I don't know the situation Raize and Hali got dropped into, all I know is what the characters said and what I wrote in response to them.
Channel DDD News - Page 910: Grumps Ahoy (Part 14)
BattleStarX was the creator of both Kirby's Dream Adventure, and its spin-off comic, Channel DDD News. Characters from both comics shared a world and would occasionally be seen interacting, so to an extent, Channel DDD News was basically just like an extra Kirby's Dream Adventure at times. That's especially evident here, where it's only using KDA characters you'd recognize from the KA crossovers: Keeby and Kaaby.
This page takes place after Tomorrow's Wind - Part 5, and I believe it came out after Kirby Adventure finished, to boot. After all the previous dimensional hopping, Raize and Hali were successful at locating Kaaby, but when BSX decided to get her back, he wrote it like this, where Kaaby off-screen learned a stilted English.
